Why We Build Biometric SDKs This Way

Most face recognition, liveness detection, and identity-verification products only ship as a cloud API: every scan, match, and selfie has to leave your infrastructure and travel to a third party's servers, and the bill grows with every single call. That works for some teams. For developers and enterprises who handle sensitive biometric data – banks, healthcare providers, gaming platforms, government contractors – it's often a non-starter.

FacePlugin exists for that second group. Every SDK – Face Recognition, Face Liveness Detection, Deepfake Detection, ID Document Recognition, ID Document Liveness Detection, and the full ID Verification Suite – is built to run entirely inside infrastructure you already control: your own servers, your own private cloud, or directly on-device. Biometric templates, document scans, and match results never have to touch a system we operate, because in most deployments we're not in the data path at all.

We license the same way we build: a flat fee per SDK – lifetime or yearly, your choice – instead of metered, pay-per-call pricing. Run one verification a day or a million; the license doesn't change. We spend our time on the SDKs themselves – matching accuracy, presentation-attack detection, and keeping deployment straightforward – rather than on running a multi-tenant cloud platform, because that's not the product we're building.
